- Founded in 1889 as the Flower Mission to care and comfort the sick poor; hired first visiting nurse; incorporated as the Denver Visiting Nurse Association
- Fought influenza; established prenatal clinics to combat Denver's high infant mortality rate; delivered babies at home; ran well-baby clinic
- Provided communicable disease, prenatal and infant welfare services for City and County of Denver
- Became first Medicare/Medicaid certified home health agency in Colorado

- Provide flu immunizations for up to 100,000 + flu shots in business, school, retail and community center settings
Employee Benefits
The Denver Visiting Nurse Corporation, provides a wide range of benefit choices. Benefits begin the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are introduced to the benefit plan during New Employee Orientation, and are given a 30 day window for enrollment. Once a year, thereafter, we sponsor an "open enrollment" period, which allows employees to make changes in existing coverage. Benefit eligibility is based upon the position held, and may be attached to both full and part-time, qualifying positions.
